Why Use Our Handmade Soap
Here at GreenDay Farms, we use the cold pressed method of soap making that has been used for centuries. Our 100% natural soaps contain the finest vegetable oils, essential oils, herbs and other ingredients available. We use ingredients know for their beneficial properties to improve the way your skin works to protect your body.
GreenDay Farms “superfats” all of it’s soaps. This means our soap is enriched with additional oils that are suspended in the soap and applied directly to the skin while bathing. Additional moisture for your skin.
Glycerin is a moisturizer for your skin and is a natural by product of soap making. Many commercial soap companies remove the glycerin from their soap. GreenDay Farms leaves all of the glycerin in the soaps, allowing the soap to cleans and moisturize.
Absolutely! Many commercial soap companies contain ingredients that can over time, dry your skin. GreenDay Farms soaps are made with the finest natural ingredients which make our soaps rich and nourishing. GreenDay Farms does not add preservatives or synthetic ingredients to the soaps.
Our soap is made from only the finest natural ingredients available. Natural ingredients are more expensive then synthetic ingredients. The essential oils we use are more expensive than the syntactic perfume oils that are used in commercial soaps. All the care and personal attention makes a better bar of soap.
Most commercial soaps are not really soaps at all. Commercial soaps are considered a detergent, which is a synthetic imitation of soap. There are many different chemicals that go into creating a detergent, making them very different from soap. Synthetic ingredients are accessible, stable and economical, so they are used in place of richer natural ones. Generally, what you get in the store is a bar that is filled with chemicals, artificial fragrances, and preservatives.
While our soaps are skin friendly, they are not hypo allergenic. People with chocolate or nut allergies may react to cocoa butter or almond oil. People with pollen allergies may react to the honey.
Before use, store the soap in cool dark, and dry place. This will help to preserve some of the volatile oils in the soap. After using your soap, never leave it sitting in a puddle of water. The bar will become waterlogged and soggy causing the soap to dissolve much faster.
